For this year's conference we would like to encourage more environmentally friendly means of travel. If you are travelling from the UK, please consider arriving to Ireland by Rail & Sail. Irish Ferries and Stena Line offer combination tickets from Holyhead in Wales to Dublin from a number of cities in the UK & Scotland.

From Dublin port take Dublin Bus (53/27/151) to the city centre to Eden Quay where you can take a Dublin Coach bus to the University or Limerick City centre.

GETTING HERE

Limerick city is serviced by three airports. Fly to Shannon, Cork or Dublin airport and travel to Limerick by bus or taxi

Shannon Airport

The closest airport to the University of Limerick. From the airport you can take a Bus Éireann bus (51, X51 or 343) to Limerick Bus Station.

Taxis can be ordered from the airport to take you direct to the city centre. Timetables, tickets and further information available on their websites.

Cork Airport

Cork airport is 2 hours from Limerick city. From Cork Airport take a bus to the city centre (226, 226A). From Cork Bus Station take the Bus Eireann bus to Limerick (51).

Bus Eireann

Dublin Airport

Ireland's largest airport is 3 hours from Limerick city centre. There are two bus services - Dublin Coach and Eireagle - from the airport that take you directly to the University and Limerick city. If travelling by Dublin Coach, note that you will change at the red cow for the bus to Limerick. Timetables, tickets and further information available on their websites.

Local Transport

The 304 bus or the 304A bus can be taken from the city centre to UL. Timetables can found online.
